What should a pre-seed pitch deck include?

Twelve slides in the order investors read: title, problem, solution, why now, market, product, traction, business model, go-to-market, competition, team and the ask. Traction earns the right to the rest.

How long should the deck be?

Twelve to fifteen slides, readable in under three minutes without you in the room. Appendix slides hold the detail investors ask for in the second meeting.

What do investors skim for?

A trend chart on the traction slide, a bottom-up market, a named channel and a specific ask tied to milestones. Logos without numbers and a 2×2 competition chart are skipped.

Questions founders ask

Is there a template?

The scorecard doubles as an outline. A downloadable template is on the roadmap.

What if my startup is pre-product?

Replace traction with evidence of demand: conversations, letters of intent, waitlist conversion.

Does the deck need financials?

A one-slide 18-month view with the key drivers, not a five-year spreadsheet.
