AI pitch deck review: what investors will question, before they do

The review reads your deck the way an investor skims it: slide by slide, looking for the problem, the proof and the ask. It scores each slide, lists the questions a seed investor would raise and tells you what to fix first. Deck uploads are part of Founder Pro in the SeedScope app; this page explains what the review checks.

What the review checks

Problem and customer

Is there a specific customer with a specific pain, stated in one sentence, with evidence that it costs them something today?

Solution and product

Does the deck show what changes for the customer rather than list features? Is there a product screenshot or a demo?

Traction

Numbers over time, not a single snapshot: users, revenue, retention, pipeline. The review flags vanity metrics and missing cohorts.

Market

A bottom-up market size with a beachhead, and a credible path from the first segment to the larger one.

Business model and unit economics

Who pays, how much, how often, and whether the gross margin and payback support the growth story.

Team

Why this team: domain insight, relevant skill, and honesty about the gaps and the hiring plan.

The ask and use of funds

Amount, instrument, valuation range and the milestones the money buys, tied to the next round.

Clarity and design

One idea per slide, readable numbers, and a narrative that follows the order investors expect.

How it works

Create a free Founder Starter account to get your startup score. Founder Pro, from $39 a month, adds pitch deck and document uploads: upload the deck as a PDF, run the review, and run it again after each revision.

Prefer to score it yourself?

The pitch deck scorecard on this site is a manual version of the same checklist. Use it first if you do not want to upload the deck, then run the AI review before investor meetings.

Then rehearse the answers

The questions the review raises are the ones you will hear in the room. Take them into the investor dry run and the mock meeting until the answers come with numbers.

Questions founders ask

Does the review replace feedback from investors?

No. It catches the gaps investors would raise so that your first meetings are about the business, not about missing slides.

What file formats work?

PDF. Export from Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides, Pitch or Canva.

Is it free?

The scorecard on this site is free. Uploading a deck for the review is part of Founder Pro. Founder Starter accounts are free and need no card.

Prepared for the meeting? Bring the report investors ask for.

Start free with Founder Starter for your score, risk assessment and summary. When talks begin, order the 80+ page Assessment Report: written by our team for your startup, $199 once, with 30 days of Founder Pro included, so investors get their answers before they ask.
